Without any patch management tools most of our PCs and laptops had not had regular windows updates installed, some were missing critical service packs and as many as 42 critical patches! GFI LanGuard almost instantly solved all my patch management problems. Scheduled scans with email alerts quickly told me which PCs needed updating. Then I downloaded and approved the updates and auto deployment installed them and emailed me the results! GFI LanGuard is also packed with lots of other features that network administrators will love… hardware & software auditing (with auto removal of unapproved applications), vulnerability scanning & software deployment tools. Using GFI LanGuard means I no longer have to worry about unpatched workstations and unlicensed or unapproved software installed on our workstations.

I actually read the GFI LanGuard manual not because I needed to figure out how to use the product (it was really easy to setup & use) but because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing out on any other great features! GFI really have a good understanding of the problems that network administrator’s face and have created a set of tools that quickly, easily and almost automatically solve these problems.

I love GFI LanGuard (it’s probably not right for a person to love a piece of software so much – but I do!) It has almost instantly removed my network patching, software auditing and vulnerability assessment worries and all using automatic scheduled scans with email alerts. I’m really interested in using more GFI products to help protect our network.
