Quality Metrics Analyst - Ref: MTQMA
As a Quality Metrics Analyst, you will play an integral role in assessing the quality of a product post release. This full-time post includes responsibility for assisting the technical support department with tier 3 support escalations via research, testing and interaction with the development team. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must. Advanced knowledge of networking and Microsoft Server technologies - including Windows 2003/2008, Exchange 2003/2007, IIS, and SQL Server 2005/2008 - is required. Possession of a Microsoft/CompTIA/Cisco certification, experience as a software tester and knowledge of a programming language such as C # would be considered assets. To qualify you should also be a fast learner with excellent troubleshooting, documentation and organizational skills.
Creative Design Team Leader - Ref: MTCDTL
In this exciting full-time role, you will head our Creative Design Team within the Marketing Department with responsibility for conceptualizing, overseeing and coordinating design and artwork preparation for a range of promotional materials; planning and handling advert bookings, quotation requirements, and requests for materials; and ensuring that stakeholders are updated on the latest promotional materials available. You will manage various timelines for different concurrent projects across the team – for posters, email mailers, web pages, banners, CDs, t-shirts, PPTs, adverts, brochures and other corporate material for use during promotional events and in international publications, etc. You will also liaise with third party suppliers to coordinate projects entrusted to them. As the company’s corporate identity evangelist, you must ensure that all items produced are in line with the required standards. You will also perform administrative tasks, such as coordinating the translations of various marketing materials, and ensuring that changes to our promotional materials are made as required.
To qualify, you should be a highly organized, deadline-driven individual who pays great attention to detail, to ensure that the necessary creative input is submitted on time and on spec. Creative flair is an absolute must, as is prior experience in leading a team to work from a brief to create new designs and/or re-design and improve existing material. As you will be working with GFI partners around the world, great communication and interpersonal skills are essential. An excellent standard of English is also required since this post involves preparing and/or proofreading texts. Knowledge of Freehand, Photoshop and Fireworks, an understanding of prepress and print production, and/or experience with Dreamweaver, Flash, PowerPoint, HTML and XML will be considered an asset.
Technical Communicator - Ref: MTTC
As part of GFI’s Technical Communications team, you will work closely with the Product Engineering groups to design the next generation of GFI software. In this role you must identify product usability issues as well as create technically detailed User Interface prototypes which are user-friendly and in line with current industry standards. You will also be actively involved in the maintenance of product documentation by liaising with subject matter experts to further flesh-out documentation requirements. As Technical Communicator, you must also run software usability testing and communicate with end-users to identify customer experience issues. Based on this feedback, you will then need to measure and report on our products' ‘ease of use’ factor as well as propose UI updates to make GFI products more appealing and simpler to use. To succeed in this full-time role, you must possess an excellent command of English, a solid technical background, a keen eye for detail and creative problem-solving skills. Established IT documentation abilities and educational background, and/or work experience in any Technical Communications field, UI/web design, customer experience and UI/software development posts will be considered an asset.
Product Manager - Ref: MTPM
Forming part of the Product Management team, the Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the Product Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The role occupies a highly strategic position within the company and includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals. To apply, candidates should have a sound technical background in network software, solid written and verbal communications skills (English), and an eye for good design. Applicants must also possess excellent teamwork skills and should have a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Windows C++ and C# programmer - Ref: MTWP
As part of GFI's team of programmers, you will work with the latest tools and develop software for Microsoft server applications - including IIS, Windows 2003 and Exchange Server. Your work will involve developing cutting edge technologies, such as content filtering, anti-spam, email security, intrusion detection and more. Experience in C++ programming OR C# and .NET is a must. You must be able to work on projects independently. Knowledge of web development will be considered an asset. This is a full-time post.
Technical Support Representative - Ref: MTTSR
You shall form part of GFI’s technical support team, assisting customers worldwide with any issues they may have with our products. You must enjoy helping people, and should be switched on and quick to learn new technologies. You will work with cutting edge technologies such as Windows 2000/2003/2008, mail servers, database engines, network security and firewalls, while offering high end technical support by phone and email. An MCP, experience in systems administration, and/or working experience in a Microsoft Windows Server System product environment will be considered assets. As the post involves communicating with people from all over the world, you should be fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of an additional foreign language will be considered an asset. This is a full-time post.
